Graduate Research Assistant, Ocean Observation Modeling and Prediction The School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, invites applications from qualified students to our master’s and Ph.D. programs to work on interdisciplinary problems related to ocean observation modeling and prediction in any of the following three areas: 1. Understanding freshwater impact on the North Atlantic in a climate-change scenario using a basin-scale Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS). A bachelor’s or master’s degree in oceanography, physics, engineering, computer sciences, applied mathematics or related field is required. Applicants should have strong mathematical and computer skills and some background in physical sciences. Review of applications is ongoing and will continue until the position is filled.
