Based on observed data we've predicted the tidal sea level for locations near Nauset and Nantucket. This information can help us understanding the formation/evolution of the observed transient tidal eddies. The following figure and table show today's tidal sea level for those locations. The difference between the sea level on Nantucket minus Nauset is also presented. This difference is a proxy for the large scale pressure gradient and it can alse be used to evaluate the eddy formation. The monthly tidal sea level is presented at the bottom of this page.
