DEAN'S WELCOME

It is my pleasure, on behalf of our faculty, staff and students, to welcome you to the School for Marine Science and Technology.  We are proud of our growth and our growing stature as an outstanding school for interdisciplinary studies in Fisheries, Oceanography, and related fields.

At present we are engaged in strategic planning to map a path that accommodates our rapidly expanding education, research and technology programs.  Our local, regional, national and worldwide collaborations provide unique learning experiences for our students at both the M.S. and Ph.D. levels. We are committed to helping develop the local economy, and to helping improve the quality of life in our region through technology innovation and applied science solutions. We collaborate with different colleges within the wider University of Massachusetts system so that our students, faculty, staff and friends can experience–and contribute to–the best in arts and sciences, in culture and in innovative technology programs offered in the commonwealth.
